8 Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to and stored by a Google server in the USA. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website use and internet use to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data by Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly or on our privacy page (www); however, we point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to the full extent.
You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
This website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()". This means that IP addresses are processed in a shortened form, which excludes direct personal identification. As a result, only a rough localization is possible.
The use of Google Analytics is in accordance with the conditions agreed upon between the German data protection authorities and Google. Third-party information: Google Dublin, Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, Fax: +353 (1) 436 1001.
Terms of use: http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html
Data protection overview: http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/learn/privacy.html
and the data privacy statement: http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.
Data processing is based on the legal provisions of § 96 (3) TKG and Article 6 GDPR (in particular with consent).
8.1 Demographic features in Google Analytics
This website uses the "demographic features" function of Google Analytics. This allows reports that contain statements about the age, gender, and interests of the website's visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising by Google as well as visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be attributed to any specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section "Objection to data collection."
8.2 Google Analytics Remarketing
Our websites use the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing in conjunction with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. Provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
This function makes it possible to link the advertising target groups created with Google Analytics Remarketing to the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. In this way, interest-based, personalized advertising messages that were adjusted based on your previous usage and browsing behavior on one device (e.g., your mobile phone) can also be displayed on one of your other devices (e.g., tablet or PC).
If you have given the corresponding consent, Google will link your web and app browsing history to your Google account for this purpose. This allows the same personalized advertising messages to appear on every device you log into with your Google account.
To support this function, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated user IDs, which are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data in order to define and create target groups for cross-device advertising.
You can permanently object to cross-device remarketing/targeting by deactivating personalized advertising in your Google account; follow this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.
The aggregation of collected data in your Google account is based solely on your consent, which you can give or withdraw with Google (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR). For data collection processes that are not combined in your Google account (e.g., because you do not have a Google account or have objected to the combination), the data collection is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The legitimate interest arises from the website operator's interest in the anonymized analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes.
Further information and the privacy policy can be found in Google's privacy statement at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de.
9 Use of Google AdWords
Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via a Google-generated advertisement, Google Adwords sets a cookie on your device. The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an advertisement placed by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our site and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked through the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information with which users can be personally identified. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the necessary setting of a cookie — for example, via a browser setting that generally disables the automatic setting of cookies or sets your browser to block cookies from the "googleleadservices.com" domain. Please note that you should not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not want measurement data to be recorded. If you have deleted all your cookies in the browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.
Data processing is based on the legal provisions of § 96 (3) TKG and Art 6 GDPR (in particular with consent).
10 Use of Google Remarketing
This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. The function is intended to present visitors to the website with interest-based advertisements within the Google advertising network. A "cookie" is stored in the browser of a website visitor, which makes it possible to recognize the visitor when they access websites belonging to the Google advertising network. The visitor can be presented with advertisements on these pages that relate to content previously viewed on websites that use Google's remarketing function. According to Google, no personal data is collected in this process. Should you nevertheless not wish to use Google's remarketing function, you can generally deactivate it by adjusting the appropriate settings under http://www.google.com/settings/ads Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies for interest-based advertising via the Network Advertising Initiative by following the instructions under http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp Follow. Data processing is based on the legal provisions of § 96 (3) TKG and Art 6 GDPR (in particular with consent).
11 Use of functions on our website
In addition to the purely informational use of our website, we offer various services that you can use if interested. For this, you usually need to provide additional personal data, which we use to provide the respective service. If additional voluntary information is possible, it is marked accordingly. 11.5 General information about the use of contact functions

They are bound by our instructions and are regularly reviewed by us. These service providers will not pass on these data to third parties. If these service providers are located in the USA, we will communicate this to you in connection with the respective functions. This data processing is also carried out in compliance with the applicable legal situation.
Comments on posts in the blog, etc., are accessible to everyone. You should carefully check your posts before publishing to ensure that they do not contain information not intended for the public. You must expect that your posts may be recorded by search engines and can be accessed worldwide without specifically calling up this offer.
14 Use of our inquiry assistant
If you want to make a request in our inquiry assistant, you have the choice of whether to provide your necessary data for this request only once or to create a customer account where your data is stored for future purchases. If you do not create a customer account, we store your data for the purpose of contract fulfillment and delete it as soon as we are no longer legally obliged to store it. Required information for processing the contracts is specifically marked, further data are voluntary. When creating an account under "My Account," the data you provide there is stored revocably.
We use the data you provide for processing your product inquiry. In doing so, we forward your request to the companies affiliated with us (within the meaning of §189a para. 8 UGB) that are located in your sales region to make a local contact person available to you. We delete these after the contract has been completed and the tax and commercial retention obligations have expired.
Data processing is carried out based on the legal provisions of § 96 para. 3 TKG and Art 6 DSGVO (in particular consent and/or necessity for contract fulfillment). To prevent unauthorized access by third parties to your personal data, the ordering process is encrypted using SSL technology.
15 Rights to information and revocation
You have the right to request information from us at any time about the data stored about you with us, as well as their origin, recipients or categories of recipients to whom this data is disclosed and the purpose of storage. In such cases, the data stored about you will be anonymized and further used only for statistical purposes without personal reference. The legality of processing based on consent until the point of withdrawal is not affected by the withdrawal of consent.
16 Newsletter
For the sign-up to our newsletter by individuals who are not yet our customers, we use the double opt-in procedure. This means that after you provide your email address, we will send a confirmation email to the specified email address in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. 17.1 Facebook
We use a social plugin from the social network facebook.com on our website. Facebook is a company of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA, 94304, USA. The plugins are identifiable by one of the Facebook logos. This is a "thumbs up" sign. The addition "Facebook Social Plugin" is also an appropriate label. The list and appearance of the Facebook social plugins can be viewed at the following web address: http://developers.facebook.com/plugins.
With the help of the "Facebook Pixel" set on our website, we can track user actions after they have seen or clicked on a Facebook ad. This way, we can measure the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. The data collected is anonymous to us, meaning we do not see the personal data of individual users. However, this data is stored and processed by Facebook, about which we inform you according to our knowledge.
Each time a webpage of our website that is provided with such a plugin is accessed, the plugin causes your browser to load and display the visual representation of the plugin from the Facebook server. Your browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook's servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser and integrated into the website. We therefore have no influence over the extent of the data Facebook collects with this plugin. We inform you according to the information available to us. The Facebook server is informed which specific website of our Internet presence you are currently visiting. If you are a member of Facebook and are logged in to Facebook during your visit to our website, Facebook recognizes through the information sent by the plugin which specific website of our Internet presence you are currently visiting. An appropriate assignment to your personal user account takes place. For example, if you use the "Like" button offered by Facebook or leave a comment, this will also be assigned to your user account and stored. Even if you are not a member of Facebook, there is still a possibility that Facebook will discover your IP address.
Facebook has published data protection notices at http://www.facebook.com/policy.php . There you can find the purpose and scope of data collection as well as further processing and use of the data by Facebook. Your respective rights and setting options for protecting your privacy are also published there.
You can prevent the transmission and storage of data about you personally and your surfing behavior by logging out of Facebook. This logout must occur before you visit our Internet presence. In addition, a browser add-on called "Facebook Blocker" is offered under the following link. With this "Facebook Blocker", data collection and data sharing of your visitor data for the future are prevented. You can find the Facebook Blocker at http://webgraph.com/resources/facebookblocker/.
17.2 Facebook Custom Audiences
MK Illumination uses the Facebook Inc. remarketing function "Custom Audiences" ("Facebook"). This feature is intended to present visitors to this website with interest-based advertisements ("Facebook Ads") when visiting the Facebook social network. The Facebook remarketing tag has been implemented on this website for this purpose. When visiting the website, a direct connection to the Facebook servers is established via this tag. This transmits information to the Facebook server that you have visited this website, and Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook user account. For more information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, as well as your rights and options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Facebook's privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. Alternatively, you can deactivate the "Custom Audiences" remarketing function at https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads#_=_
if you are logged in to Facebook.
17.3 Google Plus
We use the "+1" button of the Google Plus social network on our website. This social network is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, USA (hereinafter referred to as "Google"). The button can be recognized by the "+1" symbol on a white or colored background.
Every time you call up a webpage of our internet presence that is equipped with a "+1" button, a visual display of the "+1" button is loaded and displayed from a Google server via your browser. The Google server receives a notification about which specific webpage of our internet presence you are currently visiting. According to the information we have, Google records the browser history for up to two weeks for system maintenance and troubleshooting purposes. A further evaluation of your visit to our internet presence with a "+1" button does not take place.
If you press the "+1" button while logged into Google Plus, Google will capture information about the URL you are recommending, your IP address, and other browser-related information through your Google profile. Your "+1" recommendation is saved and made publicly accessible. Your "+1" recommendations may be displayed along with your profile name and photo in Google services, organic search results, your Google profile, or other locations on websites and ads on the internet.
We have no influence over the extent of the data collected by Google with the "+1" button. According to our information, no personal data is collected. Only the IP address is collected and processed for logged-in users of Google Plus.
More information from Google about "+1" buttons and further information about data collection, sharing, and use by Google can be found at http://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html.
17.4 Twitter
We use the microblogging service Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom Street, Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
With the help of the 'Twitter Pixel' on our website, we can track actions of users after they have seen or clicked on a Twitter advertisement. This allows us to assess the effectiveness of Twitter ads for statistical and market research purposes. The data collected in this way is anonymous to us, meaning we do not see the personal data of individual users. However, this data is stored and processed by Twitter, of which we inform you according to our current knowledge.
When using Twitter, for example via a "Re-Tweet", Twitter links your Twitter account to the corresponding web pages you use. Twitter shares this information with other users, especially your followers. This constitutes a transfer of data to the USA, thus a data protection-compliant processing in a third country. We are not informed by Twitter about the contents of the transmitted data or the further data use. Data protection notices from Twitter can be found here: https://twitter.com/privacy.
Please note that you have the option of modifying your privacy settings on Twitter in your account settings there at http://twitter.com/account/settings to make changes.
17.5 Instagram
Our website uses so-called social plugins ("plugins") from the online service Instagram, operated by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA ("Instagram"). The plugins are marked with an Instagram logo, for example in the form of an "Instagram camera." An overview of the Instagram plugins and their appearance can be found here: http://blog.instagram.com/post/36222022872/introducing-instagram-badges.
When you visit a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Instagram's servers. The plugin content is transmitted from Instagram directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Instagram receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have an Instagram profile or are not currently logged into Instagram. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to an Instagram server in the USA and stored there.
If you are logged into Instagram, Instagram can immediately associate your visit to our website with your Instagram account. If you interact with the plugins, for instance by pressing the "Instagram camera" button, this information is also transmitted directly to an Instagram server and stored there. The information is also published on your Instagram account and displayed to your contacts.
For the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of the data by Instagram, as well as your rights and settings options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Instagram's privacy notices: https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388/.
If you do not want Instagram to directly associate the data collected via our website with your Instagram account, you must log out of Instagram before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the loading of Instagram plugins with add-ons for your browser, for example, with the script blocker "NoScript" (http://noscript.net/).
17.6 LinkedIn
You will find plugins of the LinkedIn social network on our website, specifically operated by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (hereinafter referred to as "LinkedIn"). You can recognize LinkedIn plugins by the corresponding logo or the "Recommend-Button" ("Recommend"). Please note that the plugin establishes a connection between your internet browser and LinkedIn’s server when visiting our website. LinkedIn is thus informed that our website was visited with your IP address. If you click the LinkedIn "Recommend-Button" and are logged into your LinkedIn account at the same time, you have the opportunity to link content from our website to your LinkedIn profile page. In doing so, you allow LinkedIn to associate your visit to our website with you and your user account. Please note that we do not receive any knowledge of the content of the transmitted data nor its use by LinkedIn.
Further details on the collection of data and your legal options, as well as settings options, can be found at LinkedIn. These are provided to you under https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy available to you.
17.6.1 LinkedIn Insights Tag
We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag from LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, to gain insights about the usage of our website.
The LinkedIn Insight Tag allows the collection of data regarding visits to our website, including URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser properties, timestamp, and page views. This data is encrypted, anonymized after seven days, and the anonymized data is deleted within 90 days. LinkedIn only provides aggregated reports on website audience and ad performance and does not share any personal data with the website owner.
Further information can be found at: https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/65521.
17.7 Jetpack/Wordpress.com-Stats
This offer uses Jetpack, a tool for the statistical evaluation of visitor access, operated by Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110-4929, USA, using Quantcast Inc.'s tracking technology, 201 3rd St, Floor 2, San Francisco, CA 94103-3153, USA. WordPress.com-Stats uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is stored on a server in the USA. The IP address is anonymized immediately after processing and before storage. You can prevent the installation of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser software; however, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can object to the collection and use of data by Quantcast with effect for the future by clicking the link "Click here to opt-out" to set an opt-out cookie in your browser: http://www.quantcast.com/opt-out. If you delete all cookies on your computer, you need to set the opt-out cookie again.
18 Use of Videos (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo)
This website uses the YouTube embedding function to display and play videos from the provider "YouTube". The enhanced privacy mode is used here, which, according to the provider, starts storing user information only when the video(s) are played. When playing embedded YouTube videos, YouTube uses cookies to collect information about user behavior. According to YouTube, these are used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness, and prevent abusive behavior. Regardless of playing the embedded videos, a connection to the Google DoubleClick network is established each time this website is accessed, which can trigger further data processing operations without our influence.
Further information on data protection at "YouTube" can be found in the provider's privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
18.1 Use of YouTube in Enhanced Privacy Mode
We use the provider YouTube to embed videos. The videos are embedded with enhanced privacy mode. Like most websites, YouTube also uses cookies to gather information about visitors to its site. YouTube uses these, among other things, to collect video statistics, prevent fraud, and improve user-friendliness. This also results in a connection to the Google DoubleClick network. Starting the video could trigger further data processing operations. We have no control over this. Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found in their privacy policy at: http://www.youtube.com/t/privacy_at_youtube
19 Integration of Third-Party Services
It may happen that third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, map material from Google Maps, Google Web Fonts, RSS feeds, or graphics from other websites, is integrated within this online offer. This always requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as "third-party providers") perceive the IP address of the users. Without the IP address, they could not send the content to the user's browser. The IP address is, therefore, necessary for the presentation of this content. We strive to use only content whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. However, we have no influence on whether the third-party providers store the IP address, e.g., for statistical purposes. As far as we are aware, we inform the users about it. We always ensure that the European data protection standards are maintained to protect your data effectively.
19.1 Google Web Fonts
External fonts, Google Fonts, are used on these Internet pages. Google Fonts is a service from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). The integration of these web fonts occurs by a server call, usually a Google server in the USA. This transmits to the server which of our Internet pages you have visited. The IP address of the visitor's browser on these Internet pages is also stored by Google. Further information can be found in Google's privacy notices, which you can access here: https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy at: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
19.2 Google Maps
This website uses Google Maps API, a map service from Google Inc. ("Google"), to display an interactive map and create directions. Google Maps is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
By using Google Maps, information about your use of this website (including your IP address) can be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google may transfer the information obtained through Maps to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.
Google will in no case associate your IP address with other data from Google. Nevertheless, it would be technically possible for Google to identify at least individual users based on the data received. It would be possible for personal data and personality profiles of users of the website to be processed by Google for other purposes we have no influence over and cannot have. You have the option to deactivate the Google Maps service and thus prevent data transfer to Google by deactivating JavaScript in your browser. However, we would like to point out that you will not be able to use the map display on our site in this case. The Google privacy policy & additional terms of use for Google Maps can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html. Further instructions on managing your data in connection with Google products can be found on the Google-operated page http://www.dataliberation.org/
